RESPONSIBILITY IN THE DIGITAL WORLD

A code of digital
representation and conduct

Behind every post is a person. Moderation, integrity and fraternal consideration accompany us when we speak through a screen as well.

01

Dignity in our words

We write with restraint, without insults, humiliation or incitement to conflict. We express disagreement respectfully and on the basis of facts.

02

Privacy and consent

We publish another person's membership, photographs or personal information only with express consent. We do not share correspondence or recordings from closed groups without authorisation.

03

Responsible representation

Only authorised persons speak on behalf of a Lodge or Grand Lodge. We clearly distinguish personal opinions from official positions.

04

Safeguarding what is entrusted to us

We do not publish ritual signs, words of recognition or confidential material from our work. Discretion is a duty arising from trust.

05

Political restraint

We do not use Masonic channels for party propaganda. We do not present personal political beliefs as the position of the brotherhood.

06

Accuracy and moderation

We verify claims and correct mistakes. We do not use the Masonic name for personal gain, self-promotion or promises of influence.

07

Responsibility within closed groups too

We act with the awareness that a message may be forwarded. We do not take part in public shaming or hostile arguments.

08

Resolving disagreements with care

We raise concerns with supporting reasons through appropriate channels. Fraternal consideration also entails a willingness to acknowledge and correct mistakes.
